X-Roads Technology Partners Inc.("we", "us", "X-Roads") is a Canadian advisory firm based in Victoria, BC. You can reach us at glalonde@xrtp.com.
This website is operated by X-Roads Technology Partners Inc. Gerry Lalonde provides services through the firm.
What we collect
This site has no contact form and collects nothing directly. There are exactly two ways to reach us, and each is described below. We do not buy or sell personal information.
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email. It arrives in Gerry Lalonde's mailbox and nowhere else.
If you book a call, you do so through TidyCal, an external scheduling service. The name, email address, and any answers you give in that booking are collected by TidyCal, not by this website, and are handled by TidyCal's privacy policy.
Where your information is held, and for how long
This website stores no personal information of its own. It has no database, no contact form and no accounts. The services behind it each hold a different, narrow piece:
- Email. Anything you send sits in Gerry Lalonde's mailbox, hosted on Microsoft 365, and is kept for as long as the correspondence is useful. Ask us to delete it and we will.
- Bookings. Held by TidyCal under their own policy and retention schedule, not by this site.
- Analytics. Held by Google under their retention settings for this property. It is aggregate and is not tied to a name.
- The website itself. Hosted by Vercel, which keeps short-lived server logs of requests for security and reliability purposes.
Data outside Canada. Google, Vercel and TidyCal are United States companies and operate servers outside Canada, so analytics data, hosting logs, and booking details may be stored or processed there and can be subject to the laws of those countries. This is disclosed here so the choice to accept analytics, to book a call, or simply to visit is an informed one. Email sent to us stays in a Microsoft 365 mailbox.
How we use your information
Email you send to glalonde@xrtp.com goes straight to Gerry Lalonde, who reads and replies personally. Bookings are used to hold the meeting and to prepare for it. We do not share your information with any third party for marketing purposes, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Your rights under PIPEDA
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections or deletion. Email glalonde@xrtp.com with the subject "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days.
AI Policy
X-Roads Technology Partners builds and maintains this website with help from AI tools. Here is what that means in practice:
- Site content. Some copy on this site was drafted with the help of AI tools and reviewed by a human before publication. Every factual claim about Gerry, his career, and the firm has been verified against public sources.
- AI crawlers. We allow major AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and others) to index this site's public pages. There is no form or submitted information on this site for them to reach.
- What you send us. Anything you put in an email to Gerry, or in a booking, is not used to train AI models, not stored in a public database, and not shared with any third party.
- Our use of AI in client work. For client engagements, Gerry uses AI tools selectively to accelerate research and analysis, but every recommendation and deliverable is reviewed and signed off by him personally. AI does not replace operating experience.

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
